As a choreographer, I am a lover of movement exploration and describe my choreography as a combination of theater and modern dance. Those two genres come together in interesting ways that help me push the boundaries of contemporary dance and compliment the technical abilities of my dancers. I have been extremely active in each of the communities I have lived in. These include New York City, Dallas, Philadelphia and Boston. I did so by teaching community dance classes, structuring interview questions for visiting artists, developing lecture demonstrations for elementary and junior high schools and using my New York resources to provide assistance to young artists who are looking to relocate. My choreography has been selected to participate in numerous festivals including NuDance Festival in NYC, Youth American Grand Prix, Riverside Church Theatre and fundraisers for Broadway Cares/ Equity Fights AIDS. Most recently, my choreography was presented at the American College Dance Festival. It was recognized by the adjudicators and selected to represent the New England region at the Kennedy Center in Washington DC.
